The Parker DD10 Mini Inline Disposable Desiccant Dryer is a compact point-of-use desiccant dryer designed to remove water vapour, oil vapour and particulate contamination from compressed air systems. Installed directly at the application point, the DD10 provides critical final protection for sensitive pneumatic tools and processes.
This mini inline dryer is commonly used upstream of blow guns, spray guns and pneumatic equipment, ensuring that compressed air used for critical parts blow-off or paint spraying remains clean and dry. Its compact design makes it a convenient and cost-effective solution for intermittent pneumatic applications where moisture contamination could damage components or affect product quality.
During operation, wet compressed air enters the inlet and travels through a bed of silica gel desiccant beads. These beads absorb moisture vapour and aerosols, reducing humidity levels to a pressure dew point of -40°F (-40°C). The system also includes multiple filtration stages to improve air purity. A built-in 40-micron porous bronze filter element removes fine particulates, while oil-removal media eliminates oil vapours before the air exits the dryer.
The DD10 features a transparent polycarbonate housing, allowing operators to visually monitor desiccant condition. The silica gel beads change colour from orange to green as they become saturated, providing a clear indication that the disposable dryer should be replaced.
For installation, the dryer should be hand-tightened to achieve a leak-proof seal. Mechanical tools should not be used, and overtightening must be avoided to prevent damage or cracking of the housing.
