The Parker FBP Large Flow Compressed Air Treatment System is engineered to deliver food, beverage and pharmaceutical grade compressed air for both direct contact and indirect contact applications. Designed for critical manufacturing environments, the system provides technically oil-free compressed air with validated purity and controlled moisture levels to ensure safe and reliable production processes.

The system incorporates an energy-efficient heatless adsorption dryer with integrated dew point energy management, delivering a constant outlet pressure dew point of ≤ -40°C as standard, with ≤ -70°C or ≤ -20°C options available. Flow capacities range from 408 m³/h to 2040 m³/h at 7 barg and 35°C for a single bank, with higher capacities achievable through multi-bank installations.

Untreated compressed air often contains large quantities of microorganisms, which can pose serious risks in food, beverage and pharmaceutical production. The Parker FBP system addresses this challenge by maintaining a dew point below -40°C, a level that inhibits microbial growth (microorganisms become inactive below approximately -26°C PDP). By controlling moisture levels, the system helps maintain hygienic compressed air supplies in sensitive processing environments.

In addition to advanced moisture removal, the system includes high-efficiency OIL-X particulate filtration, capable of removing particles down to 0.01 micron with 99.9999% efficiency. This filtration stage captures inert microorganisms as solid particulates, ensuring the delivered compressed air remains clean and safe for production use.

The FBP system combines general purpose filters, high-efficiency particulate filters, coalescing filters and an OVR adsorption filter, ensuring technically oil-free compressed air (≤0.003 mg/m³ total oil) from both oil-free and oil-lubricated compressors. This comprehensive purification process significantly reduces the risk of biological, chemical and physical contamination in manufacturing processes, protecting both brand reputation and consumer safety.

All materials used in construction comply with FDA Title 21 CFR and are exempt under EC 1935/2004. The system’s compressed air purity has been validated by LRQA, ensuring compliance with BCAS BPG 102-1 and other global best practice standards for food, beverage and pharmaceutical manufacturing.

Advanced control and monitoring are provided through a colour HMI touchscreen, enabling real-time monitoring of inlet pressure, temperature and outlet dew point. Additional connectivity features include web-based monitoring via LAN and communication using MODBUS TCP/IP and MODBUS RTU protocols, allowing seamless integration with plant control systems.
