The Parker Airtek TWP Series Externally Heated Desiccant Air Dryer is engineered to remove contaminants such as dirt particles, water, oil, oil vapour and condensate from industrial compressed air systems. These contaminants can lead to increased maintenance costs, premature equipment wear, product contamination and the failure of pneumatic control systems if not properly removed.
The TWP Series uses a traditional twin-tower adsorption drying principle to deliver continuous, reliable compressed air drying. During operation, compressed air flows through one desiccant tower where moisture is removed, while the second tower undergoes regeneration. This alternating process ensures uninterrupted drying performance and stable dew point control.
Regeneration is achieved through a dry purge air stream heated by an external electric heater, allowing efficient removal of moisture from the saturated desiccant bed. The regeneration cycle is followed by a cooling stage using dry compressed air from the dryer outlet to maintain consistent dew point performance across the system.
Designed for demanding industrial applications, the TWP Series provides pressure dew points of -40°C or -70°C, meeting ISO 8573.1 compressed air quality standards. The dryer includes Parker Airtek pre- and after filters as standard, ensuring optimal air purification and protection for downstream equipment.
Additional features such as the PowerLoc Energy Management System, insulated towers and purge lines, advanced PLC control and continuous operational data logging help maximise efficiency, improve monitoring and reduce operational costs.
